Cobra Tag uses Bluetooth wireless technology to create a two-way separation alarm between your smartphone and your valuables. When that connection is broken, both your phone and the Cobra Tag device on your essential start ringing to let you know something is being left behind.
In addition to receiving an audible alert, the Cobra Tag app can send a map link to the location where you lost your phone or other belongings.

This Bluetooth device enables you to track and locate your belongings by notifying you when separated.
How Does It Work?
The Cobra Tag App runs in the background on your smartphone/tablet and monitors the connection between the phone and the tag.
From the app, you can monitor the distance (with descriptors like “very close,” “close,” and “far”) and the battery level of up to seven individual Cobra Tags. You can assign names to each Tag for easier monitoring and can turn monitoring of Tags on and off from the app.
If the Tag and the smartphone ever lose Bluetooth contact, both devices will sound audible alarms (and, in the case of the phone, vibrate) to let you know to stop and find the missing article. There is also a Tag finder function built into the app that causes the Cobra Tag to constantly beep if separated from the smartphone, making it easier to locate. It works both ways: you can find a lost smartphone by holding the finder button on the Cobra Tag, which causes the phone to beep and vibrate. Vibration is good, because if you lose the phone with the headphones plugged in you won’t be able to hear the beeps.
When the Tag and phone are separated, the phone logs the GPS position of the event on a Google Map, which can be accessed from within the app. With a setting in the menu, you can also program the Cobra Tag app to lock the phone with a PIN and a personalized message when it gets out of range of the Cobra Tag device, a useful feature for those who want add a small measure of protection for their private data on a lost or stolen phone.
A group of notification settings enables the app on a lost phone to send e-mail updates to preselected contacts. It can even post Facebook and Twitter updates of the time and place that it lost connection with the Cobra Tag, enabling users to get their social networks in on the hunt.
Notifications & Locks
Cobra Tag uses a customizable system that will send you (and others) alerts whenever you’re more than 30 feet away from either device.
If you leave your phone behind, the Tag will beep to let you know you’ve moved too far away from the phone.
The app can also automatically send an email showing your device’s current GPS coordinates, altitude, and other stats to help you retrace your steps; this email can be sent to any email address, and multiple points of contact can be added if you’d like your family or friends to be on the lookout as well.
Lastly, you can choose to have Cobra deliver a text message and send a tweet or Facebook status update to everyone you know.
If you have sensitive information on your device, Cobra has tossed in an option to password-protect your phone once you’re out of range. Choose a password, the length of time you’d like the program to wait before it locks your handset (which stretches from right away up to a full day), and even leave a personalized message to let others know how to reach you if they find your phone.
Design
Cobra Tag is just over 2.5” long, an inch wide, and less than half an inch thick. It’s mostly black plastic but a large hole at the top is ringed with metallic material.
A button on the front sits above a small two-tone LED light, while a speaker’s on the opposite side, and a Micro-USB port on the bottom for charging with the included cable.
The battery can hold for about 7 days between charges.
Two Ways Tracking System
Call & Answer : Push the button on the tag or in the app, and it’ll make the other device chime. This works when the two are within Bluetooth range of each other, and can be helpful for things such as finding misplaced keys in your house.
Digital Leash: If the Bluetooth connection between your Smartphone and Tag is broken because of distance, they can both make noises to alert you that the other was left behind. Moreover, you will get an email, SMS or Twitter/Facebook notification that will accurate locate your lost or misplaced goods, with the help of GPS Location.
