Posh toast supper


Per serving;

2 rashers of bacon, grilled and cut into pieces
200g of mushrooms, any type although button mushrooms work best
Garlic powder/crushed garlic (to taste)
Butter or oil for frying mushrooms
200g of Gruyere cheese
2 thick slices of sundried tomato or sour dough bread


1. Grill bacon, then cut into smallish pieces.
2.  Roast or pan fry the mushrooms in garlic butter.
3. Slice the cheese.
4. Toast bread, then brush the top of each piece with the garlic butter from the mushroom pan before cutting into triangles.
5. Top the toast with the mushrooms and bacon pieces before adding the sliced cheese to the top.

Serve immediately with a green salad.
